Managing Opportunities and Supporting Entrepreneurs
Management Services currently oversees a lease on the Rutherford lands with Sea to Sky Soils and manages the Pemberton Transfer Station in the Pemberton Industrial Park for the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District. This division currently has a proposal before Transdev Canada to manage transportation services in the Sea-to-Sky Corridor.
Management Services is also developing a business incubator program to support the success of Lil̓wat7úl entrepreneurs. Currently, this support is informal and ranges from business plan development to assistance with filing GST and tax preparation. Services will expand with the development of Líl̓wat Marketplace. This new facility in Mount Currie’s commercial core, will be situated between Líl̓wat Station and Ts̓zil Learning Centre. When completed, Líl̓wat Marketplace will showcase the work of Líl̓wat artisans and entrepreneurs, offer outdoor social space and amenities that will include food services and washrooms. A goal for LBG is for Líl̓wat Marketplace to house a “hub” for Líl̓wat business people to gain the skills and support they need to succeed.
